2008 was another full year for us at Roseneath.   Ed has finished the addition to his workshop enough to move in his second antique tractor (a 1945 Massey Harris) and is busily refurbishing the rest of the carpentry shop ready for Community School.  With the help of friends and Ed’s modern (Kubota) tractor, I replaced the entire 48” by 36” herb/perennial-berry-bush garden with grass and flowering shrubs.  This is supposed to become beautiful and make upkeep easier … someday.  Photos of all these may be seen on our blog

Our travels for 2008 included Easter in Calgary with our son Bruce, another great autumn excursion around the Cabot Trail, and a very special November trip via Seattle where we met “long-lost” friends then enjoyed an exhilarating excursion along the coast and through the redwoods to San Jose for a week with both our sons and the friends (families?). You may enjoy some of our family photos.

As usual I swim, sing in three choirs and fill the house with people whenever possible. And though Ed is now 68 and I’m 65, relatives and friends, old and new,  conversing and sharing food together in our home are still a major part of our life as they have been since we married in 1964 and they were even through our 6 years in Saudi Arabia  and 8 years in Indonesia.
