| Your Hosts Edgar & Brenda
Three generations of Dewars have lived in this house. Edgar left for
university in 1958 and we visited his parents here each summer as we
pursued our engineering and teaching careers in Ontario, Nova Scotia,
Saudi Arabia and Indonesia until we retired home in 1995. We hope you
will enjoy the many treasures from our 14 years overseas. (Our sons call
our home “the live-in museum”.)
As usual Ed enjoys teaching carpentry, tinkers with his antique tractors, and devotes endless hours overseeing construction projects for the local museum. I swim, bicycle, sing in three choirs and fill the house with people whenever possible. Of course we both muck about in the garden. And though Ed is now 71 and I’m 68, relatives and friends old and new conversing and sharing food together in our home are still a major part of our life as they have been in all our years together. It is so good to be back in Ed’s family home and able to share it with B&B guests, friends and relatives. |
